The 17 year old student who sacrificed his life for his classmate on the South Korean ferry accident yesterday by giving up his life jacket . He was the president of the high school that was heading on a four day trip to Jeju Island. Today is his birthday. Why do things have to happen like this. Happy birthday and RIP, angel. #jungchawoong #정찰웅 #tooyoung #toosudden #rip

This time 17 years ago, on April 14, 1997, Ellen DeGeneres unveiled her big secret on what has now become a famous cover of TIME magazine, with the words “Yep, I’m gay.” Now ellen is an inspiration and constant lightness in a world that focuses so much on what dark and mean. Her kindness is infectious as well as her dancing. Without this huge courageous step she took 17 years ago, the world would not be witness to the equality we now have. There is still a way to go, but the lengths we have come are amazing. And for that Ellen Degeneres I thank you!
